The YMOD program was like a world-class boot camp that jumpstarted my professional, academic, and personal success. The financial support provided by the Hankins Johnson Education Foundation helped me to focus on my classes and not have to worry about funding my first year. Supporting scholarship funds and programs like the MLK Commemorative Luncheon is very important for students who have worked hard but lack the financial resources needed to complete their college education.

The I.S. Hankins-F.A. Johnson Education Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization that was established in March 1993, by the Orlando Alumni Chapter (Delta Xi Lambda) of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in honor our belated Brothers I. Sylvester Hankins and Felton. A. Johnson. The purpose of the Foundation is to promote, support, and instill in youth the values of high educational achievement, leadership and community service. The Foundation provides academic, personal, leadership and social development for young men in the Orlando area through the Young Men of Distinction (YMOD) Mentoring Program. The Foundation also provides funding for the Head Start to Literacy Initiative, STEM Club, Scholarships, and other educational and community service initiatives.
