STEM CLUB

STEM CLUB

The Program Goals Are To:

  • Develop Foundational Digital Literacy Skills Crucial For Academic & Future Professional Success

  • Enhance Problem-Solving & Creative Thinking Abilities Through Project-Based Learning

The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity in partnership with its Hankins Johnson Education Foundation and the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) school launched an after-school Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) club. The club is focused on elementary age children in the 4th and 5th grade. By introducing STEM to elementary age children, it increases their interest in STEM careers.

Our facilitators use gaming technology to develop logical thinking skills to support programming and game design. Workshops are conducted 2 days per week for one hour for 6 to 8 weeks. The outcomes from the workshops include sharpened analytical skills, confidence in workflows, and presentations.

Your tax-deductible support helps us to continue our legacy of developing leaders and promoting academic excellence while providing service and advocacy for the Central Florida community.
